Ana Isabella Barradas Gauna, or Anais for short (she/her), is a Mexican-born actress who has moved over 15 times, primarily across Monterrey, Mexico, Texas, and California. A vibrant, bubbly, and ambitious UCLA student, Anais thrives in storytelling and performance. She grew up enchanted by Disney classics, ‘70s anime, Telenovelas, and the Percy Jackson Book Series, all of which shaped her whimsical and heartfelt perspective on life. Passionate about portraying stories of resilience and hope, she believes in celebrating the beauty of perseverance. If she were a character, she’d be a mix of Rapunzel from Tangled, Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, and Glinda from Wicked—a dreamer with a fierce determination to succeed.

Anais's journey into the performing arts began at just five years old when she took acting and Mexican Folklórico classes at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Three years later, she moved to California, where she deepened her passion for performance, participating in school plays and community theater. Along the way, she expanded her artistic toolbox, training in vocal performance, piano, and dance.

In 2021, her dedication led her to UCLA’s School of Theater, Film & Television (UCLA TFT), where she is majoring in theater with an emphasis in acting. At UCLA, she has brought her talent to the stage in productions such as Chorus u/s in Antigone, Connie in Three Million Dollar Lunch, Nick’s Mom/Anna in Time of Your Life, Sin Talento 2 in You Never Existed, and Lulu in Our Lady of the San Diego Convention Center.

Anais is deeply grateful for the support of her family, friends, and faculty, who continue to support her every step of the way.
